The hugely talented DJ Taylah Elaine approached me with an exciting concept of an online curated radio station, consisting of mixes, shows and live streams from up and coming artists and DJ’s both from the U.K and overseas.

The brief required the brand’s look and feel to appeal to a younger demographic with medium to moderate music knowledge, something quite gritty/grunge yet still playful and approachable. It also needed to be versatile enough to allow for a bigger brand world including merchandise and apparel.

Shortly after the brand launch, Puma reached out wanting to create a playlist series that would be available on Spotify and updated bi-monthly. For this they needed a solid artwork template that could be updated with headshots and artwork from Taylah herself but also any guest DJs who may collaborate.

I created the below assets for paid social and the artwork to be uploaded to Spotify as the playlist ‘cover’.

The main creative concept was to have a functioning online platform where listeners can stream the like radio show, listen back to past shows and browse resident DJs and follow their story, essentially becoming part of a community with music at the centre.

I designed and created a prototype site using the software Figma, to give the client a solid understanding of the layout and aesthetics of the site, from the bespoke navigation to the full bleed imagery and three column structure.

Sticking with Figma as a tool I also created designs for a user journey of a bespoke mobile app, using the same navigation and asset library as the desktop site for brand consistency.

I worked closely with the fashion and apparel design studio Shift Zero, to create the below capsule to raise money in support of the End SARS movement in Nigeria in early 2020.

Using the core +1 logo as the focus the Nigerian flag colours were incorporated and clever placement on the garments was used to create this cohesive collection, from which funds made were contributed to the end SARS campaign.
